Jose Miguel Sokoloff was born May 28, 1962 in Medellin Colombia.
Recently inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame and a triple Grand Prix winner in 2011 for his agency’s work for the Colombian Ministry of Defence, Jose Miguel is recognized as one of the leading Latin American creatives and agency leaders.
His work towards bringing about a new, peaceful Colombia is at the heart of this long term FARC Guerrilla demobilization campaigns.
In 2012 Jose Miguel won the only D&AD Black Pencil Awarded in 2012 – Latin America’s first, a Titanium Cannes Lion – again a Latin American first, the UK IPA Effectiveness Grand Prix and most recently El Ojo’s 2012 Grand Prix.

He was appointed to the role of President of Lowe and Partners Global Creative Council in 2011.

Sokoloff started his career at Leo Burnett Colombia in 1986, fresh out of Business school. At Leo Burnett he became creative V.P. after 4 years.

During 4 of the 6 years he held the job, the agency became the most awarded Colombian agency both nationally and internationally. In 1996 he decided to start his own agency with Francisco Samper and Humberto Polar.
Lowe/SSP3 has become not only the second largest agency in Colombia, it has also gained recognition as the most consistently creative agency in the market over the 15 years it has existed.

Lowe/SSP3 has been the most awarded agency locally 9 times, once the second and twice the third – winning a Grand Prix every year without exception, and the most awarded internationally, in 12 of its 15 years.
