The Premium Club for the Production Industry, Brand Content and Sound
The concept
The Production Cristal Academy (PCA) aims to bring together the business community of Production (TV producers, producers, production companies) to highlight the multiple developments of production and its specific service to the industry (innovation, technology, new media etc). The PCA creates an environment for networking and knowledge sharing between its members, a sort of informal “club”.
The content of the Production Cristal Academy
The PCA provides its members with meeting sessions and networking opportunities for professionals once a month, throughout the year. Added to this, three times a year, a one day seminar with the theme decided by the members of the PCA, the conferences at the Cristal Festival (7/11 December 20011 – Crans Montana, Switzerland), and those at the MENA Cristal Festival (21/23 February 2012 – Mzaar Kfardebian, Lebanon).
#. The PCA is the origin of initiatives for young talents and will be directly involved in the selection of the finalists in the Young Directors Forum in Europe and the MENA region,
#. The PCA selects the ” Young Director Cristal” among eight selected films in competition and the winner receives his award on stage during the Closing Ceremony,
#. Members of the PCA are members of the Production Jury and participate in discussions,
#. The PCA organizes an international selection by putting in place the Production Cristal Nominations in some countries or regions of the world (sort of Oscar for TV commercial),
#. Members of the PCA receive Premium VIP services at the Festival (concierge services), and access to the Cristal Club conferences throughout the year.
What the Production Cristal Academy offers its members
#. The ability to nominate clients, advertisers and TV Producers as a guest of the Festival,
#. Presentation of Case Studies restricted to only members of the PCA,
#. Contribution to the editorial content of the Cristal Festival and the PCA.
Highlights (2009/2011)
#. A 26-minute documentary showing all the professions of the production industry to students of the EMEA region,
#. A conference dedicated to students of advertising and broadcasting schools (200 participants) in November 2010,
#. 2 days dedicated to the elements of the production world during our Festivals,
#. A special 3D conference by Framestore London and their work on the Oscar-winning film Avatar,
#. Juries composed of agency TV producers and international producers: Hungry Man, WAM, Saatchi & Saatchi, RSA Films, BETC Euro RSCG, Neue Sentimental, Wanda, Première Heure, Stink, JWT, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, BBDO…,
#. The Production Cristal Nominations, a sort of “Oscar” of Production,

“A foretaste of victory”
For the 11th edition of the Cristal Festival, we want to highlight the inspiring worldwide production work. That’s why for the second year we’re organizing the “Production Cristal Nomination” which aims to select the very best work for the upcoming Production Cristal Competition: the finest production awards.
The nomination committee will be made up of leading TV Producers and Producers. From 3 to 7 October, they’ll select a list of finalists from the nominated productions to go through the Official Production Cristal Competition, which will be judged during the Cristal Festival (7/11 December 2011 in Crans Montana, Switzerland).

2. Go at www.prod.cristalnomination.com and upload for free all your production works online (TV commercials, web films, music videos, institutional films)
All the Films published from 1st December 2010 until 30th September 2011 are eligible, and can be entered for free in the Production Cristal Nominations (films published between 1st October and 30th November 2011 will have to go through the classic call for entries).
